Monica Guillemin has recently completed her  4th and final year of law school and will earn a Juris Doctor degree enabeling her to sit for the California Bar Examination, July, 2010. Most people know Monica as "Monica Payton".  She recently married and changed her name.  Monica will merge her illustrious career in medicine as a physician assistant and novelist, with a budding legal career focused on biomedical, biotechnical research involving human subjects, reproductive choice, and translational genomics.  With the proper exposure Monica hopes to participate in policy debates, advise research institutes or federal agencies.   
 
It was her fascination with biomedical research and genomics, immediately following announcement of completion of the Human Genome Project in 2002, that lead Monica to pen two medical thrillers, Black Deception and the sequel, CloningThrough her novels, she hopes to stir healthy discussion amongst her peers while educating them on the topics.
